Colophon
This website is built by the Jekyll static site generator and hosted by Amazon S3 (as described in this article). I use open web standards like HTML5 and CSS3 as much as I can. (Keep me honest—validate the main page.)
Some other tools integral to my site workflow are Vim, SASS, and Git. I started to keep the site files in a Git repository so I could use GitHub Pages, but now that the entire history of my site is obsessively organized for me I can never go back!
The color scheme used for this site is based on Ethan Schoonover’s Solarized. I use the typefaces Amaranth, Lato, and Droid Sans Mono, which are all available for free from Google Web Fonts.
Philosophy
I follow Merlin Mann’s manifesto-esque Better in publishing only what I consider to be genuinely useful, interesting, or thought-provoking stuff. I may not write much here, but what I do write is of the highest quality I can muster.

I took the oranges photo used in the title image. It’s released under this same license.
